The military will be joining in the nation's battle against Covid-19.
Seoul's defense ministry has decided that a total of 379 officers from the Army's Special Warfare Command will work at some 80 public health centers in the Seoul metropolitan area and Incheon for the next two months.
The decision came after South Korean Defense Minister Suh Wook convened an emergency meeting with his top military commanders today... to come up with ways the military could help in curbing the latest Covid resurgence in the country.
This is in addition to the hundreds of special forces military personnel that were dispatched to public health centers today... to assist with contact tracing, data management and transferring samples for testing.
