In Jammu and Kashmir, voting was held on Sunday for the sixth phase of the District Development Council. People exercised their franchise amidst tight security. During this time a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the people, a long line of people was seen at the polling stations. Voting took place in 31 seats of DDC in the sixth phase. In these, votes were cast in 14 DDC seats in Kashmir Valley and 17 in Jammu division from 7 am to 2 pm.

जम्मू-कश्मीर में रविवार को जिला विकास परिषद यानी डीडीसी के छठे चरण के लिए मतदान हुआ. कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच लोगों ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया. इस दौरान लोगों में काफी उत्साह देखने को मिला, मतदान केद्रों पर लोगों की लंबी लाइन देखी गई. छठे चरण में डीडीसी की 31 सीटों पर मतदान हुआ. इनमें कश्मीर घाटी में 14 और जम्मू संभाग में 17 डीडीसी सीटों पर सुबह सात बजे से दोपहर दो बजे तक वोट डाले गए.
