After the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the formation of a Union Territory, elections of any sort were held in a peaceful manner for the first time. The results of the District Development Council i.e.DDC election came out on Tuesday, in which the Guptkar coalition has dominated the Kashmir Valley and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu region. However, the former BJP minister lost the local elections by 11 votes in one seat. That too in the stronghold of the BJP.
