Mask Guidance.
The World Health Organization (WHO) updated the guidance for the first time
in almost six months.
A mask alone, even when used correctly, is insufficient to provide adequate protection or source control, WHO, via guidance.
Other infection prevention and control (IPC) measures include hand hygiene, physical distancing of at least 1 meter, avoidance of touching one’s face, .., WHO, via guidance.

The WHO also advises that , "the general public should wear a non-medical mask in indoor shared workplaces, schools, or outdoor settings where physical distancing of at least 1 meter cannot be maintained.".
Unless indoor ventilation "has been assessed to be adequate," the WHO advises wearing a mask regardless of physical distancing.
The agency recommends that children
under the age of five shouldn't wear a mask. .
The WHO has also determined
that face shields are currently
considered inferior to masks
