South Korea's drug ministry has approved clinical trials of coronavirus vaccine and treatment candidates ...being developed by local drugmakers.
Following this, SK Bioscience, ...said it will conduct a phase one clinical trial of the vaccine candidate "NBP 2001" ...to evaluate its safety and efficacy in healthy adults.
The vaccine has proved both safe and effective in animal testing.
The drug ministry has also approved a phase two clinical trial of a new treatment by DongWha Pharm to treat COVID-19.
