12 Foreign Ministries pledge cooperation on global economy and vaccine development

Foreign ministers across the globe have pledged international cooperation to protect the global economy and to develop a vaccine for the coronavirus.
According to South Korea's foreign ministry on Saturday, the country's foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha held phone talks with the eleven counterparts of the Ministerial Coordination Group on COVID-19 including France, Canada and Italy.
The group discussed mitigating global economic chaos and even allowing business travel to cushion social and economic damage from the pandemic.
Sharing her country's efforts in containing the virus, South Korean foreign minister Kang noted that South Korea is carefully reviewing measures for a possible transition into a new phase of the quarantine system that is more connected to everyday life.
