South Korea's producer prices dropped for the first time in five months in October,... mainly on lower prices of agricultural and fishery products.
The Bank of Korea said Friday that last month's producer price index stood at 102-point-9-2,...down half-a-percent from the month before.
Prices of agricultural and fishery goods fell 9-point-6 percent on-month with the price of cabbage and watermelon plummeting 58 percent and nearly 62 percent respectively.
Prices slumped due to the rise in the supply as the influence of the longest monsoon season and consumer demand faded following the Chuseok holiday.
