S. Korea's producer price index edges up 0.5% m/m in August

South Korea's producer prices edged up for the third consecutive month in August... led by a rise in agricultural product prices.
According to the Bank of Korea Tuesday, the producer price index last month rose point-five percent from the previous month.
While prices of livestock and fishery goods saw a decline, agricultural goods surged 16 percent on-month following the most intense monsoon season in living memory.
Prices of industrial goods also edged up point-two percent due to a rise in coal and petroleum products.
On-year, the index fell by half-a-percent, down for the sixth straight month.
