On the eighth day of Kartik month, Krishna Paksha is celebrated on Ahoi Ashtami. On this day, mothers fast for the long life of their children. There is also a tradition of taking bath in Radhakund on Saptami date a day before this. It is said that by taking bath in Radhakund on this day, Radha ji and Lord Krishna are pleased and bless. Here, a bath is taken from the midnight of Saptami.

Ahoi Ashtami 2020 Date: कार्तिक मास कृष्ण पक्ष की अष्टमी को अहोई अष्टमी का व्रत किया जाता है। इस दिन माताएं अपनी संतान की लंबी उम्र की कामना के लिए व्रत करती हैं। इससे एख दिन पहले सप्तमी तिथि को राधाकुंड में स्नान करने की भी परंपरा है। ऐसा कहा जाता है इस दिन राधाकुंड में स्नान करने से राधा जी और भगवान कृष्ण प्रसन्न होकर आशीर्वाद देते हैं। यहां सप्तमी की अर्ध रात्रि से स्नान किया जाता है।
