More than 300,000 COVID-19 deaths reported in Europe

A second coronavirus wave continues to spread through Europe, with more than 12 million cases now confirmed.
An AFP tally of health authorities figures shows the virus has now claimed more than 300-thousand 6-hundred lives.
The continent has become the new epicenter of the pandemic.
Two-thirds of fatalities come from the UK, Italy, France, Spain, and Russia.
To try and curb the spiking number of cases, countries have imposed new lockdowns despite signs of growing unrest.
Several Italian regions have shut down, and the Greeks face fresh stay-at-home orders.
Over in the UK, Liverpool trialed city-wide testing on Friday.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. is also struggling.
The states recorded over 12-hundred deaths and more than 120-thousand infections between Wednesday and Thursday.
