Several residents of Pangarap Village in Caloocan City were supposedly hurt Friday after a confrontation with the armed guards of a land developer claiming the land rights over their area. They tried to prevent the dumping of soil on the road and on their properties.
Local government officials are still waiting for a Supreme Court resolution regarding who the real owner of the 156-hectare property is, but the land developer allegedly continued the digging of the earth and dumping of the soil that already left a number of houses and stores either covered with soil or submerged in flood.
