Yes. Indeed, a historic first-ever KBO regular season win for the NC Dinos.
The Dinos have led the KBO standings for all-but eight days this year. And the title was sealed with five games left....following Saturday's 3-3 tie at home to the LG Twins. They head straight to the Korean Series which begins on November 17th.
It seems as though this week has been the time for legendary Korean athletes to announce their retirements - one in KBO and, as of Monday, one in K League too?
Yes, that's right. Two absolute legends of their respective sports.
In KBO Hanwha Eagles hitter Kim Tae-gyun announced his retirement last week. Then, earlier on this Monday, K League legend Lee Dong-gook followed suit.
38-year-old Kim Tae-gyun spent 18 years with the Eagles and is regarded as one of the greatest hitters in KBO history. He racked up two-thousand-two-hundred-and-nine hits - KBO's third-highest - three-hundred-11 home runs and one-thousand-three-hundred-and-58 RBIs in over two-thousand games.
Meanwhile, K League's all-time leading goal scorer Lee Dong-gook announced on Monday afternoon that he is to retire at the end of the season. The 41-year-old has won seven K League titles and has scored two-hundred-27 goals.
Sticking with K League, the penultimate matches of the season were played over the weekend. And yet another twist in the title race?

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors showed their championship pedigree once again by overcoming Ulsan Hyundai on Sunday afternoon. A Mo Barrow goal in the second half helped Jeonbuk pick up the win to go three points clear and top the table for the first time since July. To claim a record fourth consecutive title, Jeonbuk need just one point on the final day.
At the bottom end of the table, Incheon United live to fight another day...after coming from behind at home to beat relegation rivals Busan IPark 2-1 on Saturday. A win over FC Seoul on Saturday will seal safety.
Shifting to women's golf, rising star Lee So-mi picked up her first major win over the weekend?
Lee So-mi earned a thrilling comeback victory at the Huen Care Women's Open.
Lee hit five birdies and one bogey for a four-under 68 in the final round of the tournament at Kyle Phillips Golf Course in Yeongam, Jeollanam-do Province. With a total of nine under a par of two-hundred-seven, Lee beat Kim Bo-ah by one stroke to win her first career title.
And finally, to women's volleyball, Kim Yeon-koung made her long-awaited V-League return and has hit the ground running.
