Doosan Bears win KBO pennant despite being 9 games behind SK Wyverns in August

On the final day of the regular season,... the Doosan Bears defeated the NC Dinos on Tuesday,... to clinch the pennant and earn a pass to their 5th straight Korean Series.
Down 5 to 2 in the 8th inning,... the Bears came back to tie it in the bottom of the inning,... only to end it on a walk-off hit at the bottom of the 9th.
With the pennant,... the Bears set a KBO record for the best comeback to take the regular season title.
They were a season-high nine games behind the SK Wyverns in third place on August 15th.
The regular season champions advance directly to the Korean Series,... South Korea's version of the World Series.
The Bears last won the Korean Series in 2016.
