After devastating Chennai rain of 2015, now few days before heavy rains (ChennaiRain2017) lashed Chennai and other parts. The Greater Chennai Corporation had taken any measures for saving people and animals from the flood & rains? Chennai is one of the beautiful city in world surrounded with many rivers, ponds and beach. Kosasthalaiyar River, Koovam River and Adyar river were the pathways for water to flow when the heavy rain pours and finally mixes in the sea. Now all the water resources were reduced and buildings were built over it. Chennai corporations didn't take much necessary action for 2015 chennai floods, even for this years rain. Crores and crores of money are allotted for expanding the river basins and other water resources, but they failed to do it instead of river expansion chennai corporation concentrating more AMMA Canteen (initiated by former Tamilnadu CM Late J.Jayalalitha to provide food for all at lower cost) by importing machinaries and other things, but many canteens were not functioning properly and revenue was not up to the mark. Transport facility during the rainy days are stoped earlier, the reason said was buses were not in good condition and it will get struck in the middle of the way if we operate during the rainy days. Chennai corporation says they are running out of funds and its going in poor stage.
