Politics peaks over temple priest's killing in Karauli

The alleged killing of a priest in Rajasthan's Karauli has opened gates to a political slugfest, with the BJP accusing the Congress of soft-pedaling while the Congress accused the BJP of giving communal colour to the incident. After massive outrage, the Gehlot government announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the priest's family along with a job for a dependent and a house under the Indira Awas Yojna.
