Hathras case will now be probed by CBI. After the Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath's government's recommendation, CBI took over the probe of Hathras alleged gangrape and murder case on Saturday. A 19-year-old Dalit girl from Boolgarhi village in Hathras was allegedly gangraped and subsequently died in hospital. The girl died at Delhi's Safdarjung hospital on September 29. On Saturday, the Centre's Department of Personnel and Training issued a notification allowing CBI to take over the investigation. The CBI will file an FIR soon.
