Experts believe North Korea will likely be one of the last places in the world to reopen its borders,... since a COVID-19 outbreak would spell an "absolute disaster" for the regime.
At a virtual forum Monday hosted by the George Washington University Institute for Korean Studies,... experts pointed out that the North was the first place to seal its borders and will most likely be the last to reopen.
They cited the North's health system being unable to respond properly to the outbreak due to its lack of medical supplies, a stable supply of electricity as well as clean water.
North Korea has yet to officially report on any outbreak of the virus.
