The U.S. has successfully tested the interoperability of two anti-missile systems the Patriot and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense weapons systems.
Watchers say it's an apparent move to better prepare against North Korea's nuclear and missile threats.
The U.S. Missile Defense Agency said the test was conducted from a base in New Mexico last Thursday.
The Patriot missile successfully intercepted a target using data provided by the THAAD radar system... the same one used by U.S. forces in South Korea.
THAAD's radar has a longer range than other systems so it can intercept incoming missiles earlier.
