Following the government's easing of social distancing measures to level two, South Korea's education ministry will decide on whether to resume offline classes in the greater capital area later today.
Under social distancing level 2-point-5, kindergartens, elementary and middle schools in the capital area had been instructed to hold remote classes until September 20th.
After a meeting with municipal and provincial superintendents, education minister Yoo Eun-hye will announce if schools should continue with the current system or allow students to conditionally participate in offline classes just like schools in areas outside of the capital.
