Visitors and staff at a Thailand zoo gathered on Tuesday to celebrate the 55th birthday of their beloved hippopotamus.
Spectators sang happy birthday to her, as the grandma hippo came out to nibble on a special birthday cake made from fruit and vegetables.
Mae Mali is the oldest hippopotamus in Thailand.
She has far outlived a hippo's typical life expectancy of around 40 to 50 years.
The zoo says she gave birth to a number of offspring in her younger years, and her children and grandchildren are in other zoos across the country.
