A new service from the Bank of Korea will let you put the change you get at a store... directly into your bank account, so you will never have to carry around coins.
It's part of the central bank's Coinless Society Project.
You just open the app from your bank and the cashier scans your QR code to send the change to your account.
Or instead of the app, you can get a card with a barcode on it.
The convenience store chain Ministop was the first to launch the service last Thursday at all of its stores.
By the end of 2020, it will be available at more than 7-thousand convenience stores... as well as 15 department stores and eight outlet shops.
