After forcing up to eight million people in Japan evacuate, the 10th typhoon of the season, Haishen, is now fast approaching the Korean peninsula.
The storm is continuing to move northward after sweeping through Japan's Kyushu region.
The typhoon has already caused power outages in about 430-thousand homes there.
At least 21 casualties have been reported.
The storm has also prompted the suspension of public transport operations and more than 300 flights to and from Kyushu and Okinawa have been suspended.
