Korean baseball league is on high alert after a player tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
Hanwha Eagles pitcher Shin Jung-rak is the first Korean professional athlete playing in South Korea to be confirmed with the coronavirus.
Health officials say Shin had been showing symptoms since last Saturday.
He had been with the club's B team in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do Province.
Following his Covid confirmation, 40 club employees were tested and nobody else was confirmed positive.
Hanwha's KBO match against the Doosan Bears tonight is currently underway.
