Central Oklahoma hit with thunderstorm, lightning, flooding and heavy rain

A severe thunderstorm brought heavy rainfall to central Oklahoma on Monday, August 31, causing flash flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and Flash Flood Warning for the area, and has expected one to two inches of rain along with 60 miles per hour wind gusts.

Intense lightning also hit Norman, Oklahoma.
