Online, home shopping sales hit all-time high in first half of 2020

South Korea's online and home shopping retailers have seen their sales in the first half of 2020 reach an all-time high amid social distancing measures.
According to Statistics Korea and the Korea Small Business Institute on Monday, sales by online and home shopping retailers in the first half of the year hit a record high of slightly more than 39 billion U.S. dollars.
This is up some 19 percent compared to the same period last year and is more than double the figure in 2015.
Meanwhile, department store sales in the first half of the year fell by around 13 percent and small retailer sales dropped 10 percent on-year.
