Mughlai Chicken is a North Indian recipe with a dark brown onion gravy that will have you licking the plate! Serve it with Roti, parathas, or jeera rice.

Recipe :
Ingredients for Mughlai Chicken :
For Marination: Marination Time 1hr
Chicken curry cut pieces with bones-500gm
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Red Chilly Powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Vinegar-1 tsp
For The Paste :
2 medical size fried onion
2 inch Ginger
5-6 Garlic Cloves
10-12 Green Chilli(as per taste)
7-8 Cashew Nuts
1 Bayleaf
3 Green Cardamom
2 Cinnamon stick
For preparation:
4 tbsp Cooking Oil
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp salt(as per taste)
1/2 tsp Kewra Water
Normal water as required

Cooking Process :
Heat cooking oil in a Kadai, add chopped onions & fry until golden brown. Then make a fine paste of fried onion, ginger, garlic & cashew nuts with the help of water if required. In the same oil add bay leaf, cardamom, & cinnamon stick to it. Add that fine paste to it & fry for 2-3 mins on medium flame. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder & salt, Sauté until fragrant. Add marinated chicken & fry for 3 mins on high flame. Then add water as required. Cover & cook for 10 mins, check it after 10 mins & then cover it for another 5 mins. Add kewra water at last & serve it hot with roti, parathas, or jeera rice.
