South Korea reports its highest daily number of coronavirus cases since early March as authorities warned the country was "on the brink of a nationwide pandemic" and tightened social distancing rules to level 2 across the country. The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the majority of the 397 new infections were in the greater Seoul region, where nightclubs, karaoke bars and cyber cafes have been closed.
