South Korea's national security advisor Suh Hoon met for talks with top Chinese official Yang Jiechi Saturday to discuss bilateral affairs.
There the two sides covered several key topics including an agreement to push for a Seoul visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping when the COVID-19 situation eases.

South Korea and China have agreed to push for a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Seoul at an early date when the COVID-19 pandemic stabilizes.
The decision was made between Seoul's national security advisor Suh Hoon and China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi during a four-hour meeting on Saturday.
Yang a member of the Communist Party Politburo was in South Korea for a two-day visit that began a day earlier the first high level-visit from China since the COVID-19 outbreak.
Seoul's top office said that diplomatic authorities will continue negotiations on the matter,... adding that the Chinese side said that South Korea would be the country that it will prioritize for a visit from Xi.
The Chinese leader had agreed to make a trip in the first half of 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
On South Korea's peace drive with North Korea,... the two officials agreed on the importance of strategic communication and cooperation between Seoul and Beijing for denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula.
As for heightening geopolitical tensions between China and the U.S.,... Yang explained Beijing's position.
To this, Suh stressed the importance of friendly relations and co-prosperity between the two countries for the peace and prosperity of Northeast Asia and the wider global community.
Also on the table were issues of bilateral interest,... such as cooperation against COVID-19,... and promoting economic exchanges.
Following the meeting,... Suh told reporters that he had good discussions over all topics.
Yang said that he also had good talks, without elaborating.
