Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the phones of opposition leaders were illegally being tapped by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the state. In his letter to PM Narendra Modi, Chandrababu Naidu has claimed that the Andhra Pradesh government was also tapping phones of advocates, media persons and social activists. He said it was a "violation of Articles 19 and 21 of fundamental rights" guaranteed in the Constitution. With incessant rains lashing parts of Chhattisgarh, particularly Bastar division, since Saturday, the state government has issued directives to district officials to remain alert to deal with possible flood-like situations, officials said on Sunday. In South Bastar, several rivers and rivulets are in spate, due to which the road connectivity has been cut off in some parts.
