Former Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng pleaded not guilty at the Butterworth Sessions Court on Tuesday (Aug 11) to a charge of using his position as then chief minister of Penang and tender board chairman of the Penang Development Corporation for gratification of RM372,009 over the offer of a project to a company while businesswoman Phang Li Koon pleaded not guilty to a charge of abetting Lim.
Lim's wife Betty Chew Gek Cheng pleaded not guilty to three counts of money laundering by receiving RM372,009 from a company through her bank account.
