S. Korean government launches discount coupons to revive stagnant economy

In efforts to stimulate the local economy, the South Korean government is issuing new discount coupons to more than eight million people... that can be used for movie tickets, cultural performances, exhibitions, sports and accommodation.
Seoul's culture and tourism ministry has set aside more than 76 million U.S. dollars for the coupons from its portion of the government's extra budget.
For accomodation, the coupons offer discounts of up to about 35 U.S. dollars per person and for cultural performances like musicals, it's up to about 7 dollars each.
The coupons will be available from this Friday.
