Janmashtami fast and festival will be celebrated on both 11 and 12 August due to Ashtami Tithi. However, at midnight, Ashtami Tithi will be present only on 11th, so Janmashtami fast will be of special importance on this day. Jyotishacharya Vibhor Indusut says that this time there will be no coincidence of Ashtami Tithi and Rohini Nakshatra on Janmashtami but on 11th day Udaya Tithi will be Saptami. Ashtami Tithi will start from 9:06 minutes in the morning. This date will be present throughout the day and night also during the period of fasting. Navami will be on November 12 after 11:16.
