Limpopo shacks debacle

The DA is demanding answers about a Limpopo government tender that saw shacks, instead of houses, being erected for residents of Talana in Tzaneen. The provincial government has come under fire after launching the COVID-19 relief housing project, worth over R2 million, for 40 structures made of corrugated iron. The launch was officiated by Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha on Friday. He has now distanced himself from the project, insisting he was not aware that shacks were being built.
