The city of Seoul is going to distribute guidelines to hospitals and fire departments across the country... on how to protect first responders when transporting people suspected to have the coronavirus.
The city's own fire and disaster authorities, since March, have been following a three-tier system... based on which first responders wear different protective equipment.
The most severe patients are in tier A, and those with no clear symptoms are tier C.
Thanks to this system, only 5 percent of responders are being quarantined... down from 27 percent.
