तमिलनाडु के शिवगंगा जिले में लोगों ने इंसानियत की मिसाल कायम की। यहां पर एक पक्षी और उसके बच्चों के लिए पूरा गांव एक महीने से ज्यादा दिन तक अंधेरे में रहा। दरअसल गांव की स्ट्रीट लाइट जिस स्विचबोर्ड से चलती थी, वहां एक पक्षी ने अपना घोंसला बना लिया था। पक्षी ने घोंसले में अंडे दिए। जिसके बाद गांववालों ने फैसला लिया कि जब तक अंडे फूटकर बच्चे बाहर नहीं आ जाते और वे बड़े नहीं हो जाते तब तक वो स्विचबोर्ड का इस्तेमाल नहीं करेंगे..
