Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh: A migrant worker in Uttar Pradesh - forced to return to his hometown from Tamil Nadu with his family last month after his landlord asked him to leave - had to sell his wife's jewellery for Rs 1,500 in a local market in Kannauj to buy food and medicines amid lack of means. The district administration has now stepped forward to help him after local media highlighted his plight.

उत्तर प्रदेश के कन्नौज से. जहां दाने-दाने के मोहताज एक परिवार को भोजन के लिए गहने बेचने पड़े. दरअसल परिवार मई में तमिलनाडु से उत्तर प्रदेश के कन्नौज लौटा था. यूपी लौटते ही परिवार के पास खाने तक को कुछ नहीं था. राशन और दवाई खरीदने के लिए मजबूरन उन्हें अपनी ज्वैलरी 1500 रुपये में बेचनी पड़ी. मीडिया में मामला सामने आने के बाद जिला प्रशासन परिवार को मदद को आगे आया. प्रशासन की ओर से परिवार का राशन कार्ड व मनरेगा का जॉब कार्ड बनवा दिया गया है.
