Kanpur kidnapping-murder case: 4 cops suspended

A week after the family of a 28-year-old man in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh alleged that a team of cops failed to stop his kidnappers from escaping with Rs 30 lakh ransom, the police has said the man was killed by the kidnappers last month. The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday suspended four police personnel, including an Additional SP and a Circle Officer, for laxity in the probe into the kidnapping and murder of a lab technician in Kanpur.
