The UN Population Fund has started to gather the items the UN Security Council Sanctions Committee on North Korea has exempt from regulations to protect the North Korean people from COVID-19.
They will be permitted to send the aid and equipment into North Korea at the end of this year or early next year.
The items include ultrasonic wave scanners, disinfectants, and hemoglobin measuring tools.
They'll be distributed to medical facilities in 7 provinces and 13 districts in North Korea.
However, distribution will only take place when UN officials are able to return to supervise the distribution.
