Scientists at Imperial College London are preparing to begin human trials this week on a potential coronavirus vaccine. A total of 300 healthy people will be given two doses of the vaccine, which has been found during animal testing to cause higher levels of antibodies to COVID-19 than normally produced in those who have the illness.

इंपीरियल कॉलेज ऑफ लंदन के वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा कि, 'हमें उम्मीद है कि इंसानों पर वैक्सीन ट्रायल के पहले चरण की मंजूरी उन्हें जरूरी मिलेगी. इस दौरान वे देखेंगे कि उनकी यह वैक्सीन इंसानों के लिए कितनी सुरक्षित है.' वैक्सीन बनाने वाले समूह के इंचार्ज प्रोफेसर रॉबिन शेटॉक का कहना है, 'हमारी टीम चाहती है कि लोगों को एक सस्ती और सुरक्षित वैक्सीन मिल सके. ताकि ब्रिटेन में कोरोना वायरस की पॉजिटिव आबादी को 20 अरब से कम लागत में ठीक किया जा सके.'
