U.S. Navy Veteran Michael White, who had been detained in Iran for around two years, has been set free.
His mother and U.S. officials confirmed he is on a Swiss plane...en route to the U.S.
White was imprisoned 2018 in Iran when he was in the country to visit his Iranian girlfriend... after insulting Iranian Supreme Leader and making rebellious comments on social media.
He was recently granted medical furlough and was released into the custody of the Swiss Embassy.
Switzerland represents U.S. interests in Iran and has been working on White's case.
