Tensions continue to simmer between two East Asian neighbors, South Korea and Japan,... as Tokyo has reportedly said it won't ease its entry ban for South Korean business people.
Citing officials from Japan's foreign ministry, Kyodo News Agency reports that foreign minister Toshimitsu Motegi rejected Seoul's calls to lift entry bans for businessmen and women, that were imposed after the COVID-19 outbreak.
The report added Motegi stressed that it's Japan's utmost priority to deter further infections.
These comments come despite the Japanese government saying this week that it's considering easing entry bans on visitors from Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
