President Moon stresses positive impact of emergency relief payments

President Moon Jae-in has thanked the people for spending their emergency relief payments saying that it has been able to lift consumption.
Speaking at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday,... President Moon stressed the positive impact of the funds.
He also thanked others for making donations.
It is hard for the government's fiscal measures alone to deal with an emergency situation like this. The donations that people have made will be able to secure jobs, or help those who have lost their jobs. Whether its consumption or donations, I hope that this will give us strength to overcome the difficult situation.
President Moon also called for public's cooperation to prevent the spread of COVID-19,... noting the continued risks until a vaccine is developed.
He stressed, however, that based on experience, we can cope with the situation.
As for the gradual reopening of schools,... President Moon ordered thorough preparations to ensure the health of students saying that this will determine the success of "distancing in daily life."
