Coronavirus: anti-lockdown protests erupt across Europe in UK, Germany and Spain

Amid increasing frustration over lockdown measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic, multiple protests took place across Europe on May 16, 2020.  Thousands rallied in Germany against Covid-19 restrictions while 19 people were arrested in London’s Hyde Park after breaking social-distancing rules. Protesters in Spain banged pots and pans and called for the country’s prime minister to resign.
