│Ingredients│ ・2 cups Brown rice ・400 ml Water ・2 pinches of Salt ・1 teaspoon of Sake or Mirin (Sweet Sake)
│How to cook│ 1.Polish brown rice until fifty percent with rice polishing machine 2.Wash rice by repeating to add water and drain until the water gets clear enough 3.Drain water of rice and place it into clay pot 4.Add 400ml water to clay pot and soak rice for 20 minutes 5.Add 2 pinches of Salt and 1 teaspoon of Sake or Mirin to clay pot and cover with a lid. Place the pot on high heat 6.When the steam comes out from the pot, turn off the heat (it will be about in 12 minutes) 7.Let cooked rice steam after turning off the heat for 20 minutes 8.Ready to eat!
│Point│ ☆It is better to drain water as quickly as possible for the first washing process of rice. It will prevent rice from getting rice bran smell ☆To cook burnt crispy rice, heat the pot for 1 or 2 minutes longer after the steam comes out from the pot ☆Adding pinches of salt can get rid of the smell of brown rice. Adding Sake or Mirin can make the rice softer and fluffier and it is not necessary to do so if you don’t have Sake or Mirin at home ☆If you are not fond of brown rice much, polished rice is a good way to start healthy dieting rice. The rice cooked in clay pot is far more delicious than rice cooked in rice cooker, so please try it once!
