More than 1-point-7 million households in South Korea have applied for the COVID-19 emergency disaster relief funds as of 9 p.m. Monday,... which was the first day the country was taking applications.
It amounted to some 950 million U.S. dollars.
According to the 5-day rotation system that has been established to prevent a rush overloading the system,... those whose birth years end with 2 or 7 can apply today.
Starting May 18th,... households can also apply in person at community service centers or credit card-affiliated banks.
