An encounter between the army and the militants took place in Handwara in Kaupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Five soldiers of the security forces have died in the encounter with the terrorists. It includes a colonel, a major, two jawans and a police officer. During this time, two terrorists have also piled up. According to information received from Jammu and Kashmir, this encounter has been going on since yesterday. Firing has stopped here, but the army operation is still going on.

जम्मू-कश्मीर के कूपवाड़ा जिले के हंदवाड़ा में सेना और आतंकियों के बीच मुठभेड़ हुई है. आतंकवादियों के साथ मुठभेड़ में सुरक्षाबलों के पांच जवान शहीद हो गए हैं. इसमें एक कर्नल आशुतोष शर्मा, एक मेजर, दो जवान और एक पुलिस अफसर शामिल हैं. इस दौरान दो आतंकी भी ढेर हुए हैं.जम्मू-कश्मीर से मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक ये मुठभेड़ कल से ही चल रही है. यहां पर अब फायरिंग रूक गई है, लेकिन सेना का ऑपरेशन अभी भी जारी है.
