A forest fire in Goseong, Gangwon-do Province has been put out after destroying 85-hectares and 6 homes.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
According to the Korea Forest Service, firefighters fully extinguished the fire this afternoon... although some remain at the scene to monitor for potential additional fires...as dry weather advisories have been placed in most parts of the country.
The fire started at a nearby house on Friday and quickly spread to the mountain due to strong winds.
