S. Korea reports 9 new COVID-19 cases Wed.; officials urge good hygiene practices as holiday starts

Let's start with the latest on the coronavirus outbreak in South Korea.
The country reported nine new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
The total number now stands at 10-thousand-761.
Out of the new cases,... five were imported.
Sixty-eight more patients recovered on Wednesday.
There were two more deaths,... bringing the total number to 246.
South Korean authorities are paying a close attention ahead of the so-called 'golden holidays' which begin Thursday.
Officials announced at this morning's COVID-19 briefing that people must wear face masks when travelling,... and keep at least two meters apart.
They will ensure hand sanitizer is available at major tourist sites.
The government is closely monitoring the situation in Gangwon-do Province and the southern island of Jeju,... as lots of visitors are expected during the holidays.
