S. Korea honors 50th anniversary of Earth Day

Today, April 22nd, marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day,... honoring planet Earth and raising awareness about the environment.
To support environmental initiatives, buildings in South Korea will have the lights turned off for ten minutes from 8 PM, Korea time.
Thousands of public institutions and apartment complexes across the country will participate,... as well as landmarks like N Seoul Tower, Busan's Gwangan Bridge, and Suwon Hwaseong Fortress.
Earth Day has been celebrated throughout the world since 1970 and South Korea has been holding its annual lights-off event since 2009.
