軍, 코로나19에 병사 영상통화 한시적 허용…'스트레스 해소'

Because of social distancing, the South Koreans serving their compulsory military service have not been able to take leave or recieve visitors since mid-February.
So, to relieve the strain of isolation, the military says it's temporarily allowing enlisted service members to use video call on their smartphones during off-duty hours and on weekends.
It was just last year that soldiers were first allowed to use their smartphones, but for security reasons, video calls, bluetooth and GPS were turned off.
The military expects this will greatly boost communication between soldiers and their friends and family as the nation battles the pandemic.
